Internship: Allison Overall

Year in School & Major:
Junior in Finance
Internship/Job Organization:
Edward Jones, St. Louis, MO

How did you secure your internship?

I learned about it at KU’s Business Career Fair.

What was the best part?

The best part of my internship was when I got to sit in on client meetings and evaluate their financial goals, to then help achieve them.

What advice do you have for other KU students?

The best advice I have for students looking for an internship is to put yourself out there. When you feel uncomfortable, it means you’re growing. Don’t be afraid to go for it, and remember to be confident, even if you don’t feel qualified.

What are your future plans?

Her plan for the future is to start a company that is at the intersection between Finance and Social Justice.
