2018 Internship Fair

The University of Kansas will hold its annual Internship Fair on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., in the Kansas Union Ballroom.

The Internship Fair welcomes employers offering fall, spring, and summer internship opportunities. At the fair, students will find a variety of internships in a broad range of fields such as marketing, education, business, event planning, and sports management. The Internship Fair offers something for everyone; come and explore the possibilities made for you!


Internships and other experiential opportunities are very important in making yourself marketable in today's workforce, and the 2018 Internship Fair can help you find these opportunities! Employers will be present to promote their fall, spring, and summer opportunities, so dress professionally, bring copies or your resume, and be ready to make a great first impression!

Get your LinkedIn picture taken

The University Career Center will provide free professional Linkedin profile pictures for students that attend the Internship Fair. The Linkedin booth will be available starting at 3:30 p.m., on the day of the event in the Kansas Union.

What to wear to the Internship Fair

Employers will expect students to be dressed in professional business attire. Visit The P.H.O.G. for free professional clothing!

How to prepare for the Internship Fair

Join us for One Stop Prep Shop November 12th and 13th! Meet with a career coach to chat about your resume, find the perfect employers to introduce yourself to at the fair, develop your elevator pitch, and have any questions you might have answered. Snacks will be provided.

How to and why you should attend the Internship Fair

The Internship Fair is the best way to have face-to-face contact with a variety of employers who have fall, spring, and/or summer internship opportunities.

Meeting organizations interested in your skills will never be easier. With 70+ organizations ready to talk with you, there are many opportunities to find the perfect internship to build your skills.

At the Internship Fair, you are more than a resume. They will remember you because you have engaged in a conversation with them. When you make a positive impression in person, it greatly increases the likelihood that an employer will do something with your online application.

Take advantage of careers and internships with organizations you’ve never heard of. Check out more organizations than you know how to Google and find out about what they can offer you. Who knows, the Internship Fair might be a gateway to a career path you never knew existed!

You are a real person with great skills to offer an employer. Let them know it!


KU Career Services invites you to participate in the 2018 Internship Fair. This event offers your organization the opportunity to meet with college students to present your internship opportunities. For many organizations this is an extremely effective way to introduce your organization to potential candidates. The Internship Fair is open to all majors and all class levels, from freshman through PhD students.

Next-Day Interviews may be requested when you register for the event.

Raise your visibility to students at the fair

We are offering several advertising options to highlight your organization and promote your opportunities to students at the KU Internship Fair. The options include:

  • Social Media Package Instagram, Facebook and Twitter - $300
  • Company Banner (full color) on this webpage - $175
  • Printed Career Fair Guide, quarter-page sized advertisement (B&W): the four-page guide will have a list of employers and table numbers, a map of the career fair, and featured advertisements - $100

With prior notice, the University Career Center will arrange for pick-up by FedEx and UPS after the event. Because the fair ends at 6:00 p.m., items will not be picked up until the next morning. If you use another carrier and would like us to arrange a pick-up, please contact Kendyl Grender (kgrender@ku.edu /785-864-7653) in advance. It would be helpful for us to know the dimensions and weight of your display, as well as the carrier and method of shipment (ground, express, etc.). Your response is appreciated. At the end of the fair, complete your shipping paperwork and place your shipment beneath the appropriate shipping sign located in the main ballroom.
The event begins at 3:30 p.m. We will have staff in the parking garage north of the Kansas Union to assist you 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Go to Level 4 of the parking garage to unload materials. We will have volunteers with carts ready to assist you.
